Moment. EP
Design Portfolio

A “Moment” is more than a fragment of time; it is the fundamental unit of visual storytelling. An “EP” is more than a short album; it is a concentrated expression of a creative phase.
This portfolio, Moment. EP, is a curated collection of my work. It documents the precise moments where graphic precision meets auditory emotion. My philosophy remains “ordinarily direct”—stripping away the decorative noise to amplify the essential message.
Each project featured here is a “track” in my professional journey. From the commercial rhythm of branding to the experimental melodies of audiovisual art, this is my extended play.

About Sosoland
Sosoland is the creative hub that unites my dual identities: Chris So, the professional multimedia designer, and Sosop, the doujin music composer. This circle acts as a bridge between visual communication and auditory storytelling, integrating diverse artistic disciplines into a single, cohesive entity.
Our philosophy is rooted in the concept of “Ordinarily”—a commitment to simplicity and direct communication. I believe the most effective work is that which is stripped of unnecessary complexity, focusing on clear, practical, and purposeful execution from initial concept to final delivery.
Beyond a mere title, Sosoland has evolved into a multi-platform presence. Through our official website and our active presence on YouTube “Sosop Works / Sosoland”, it showcase my ongoing journey. Looking ahead, Sosoland will continue to thrive as a dynamic personal brand, actively expanding its reach and creative output across various multimedia and artistic fields.

About Alaphlon
Alphalon is an experimental audiovisual project that explores the emotional and conceptual tension between mythology and artificial intelligence. Drawing from the symbolic worlds of Avalon and AlphaGo, the piece weaves sound, rhythm, and visual silence into a speculative narrative without dialogue.
Designed as both a music video and an installation, the work invites introspection through its nonlinear structure, abstract glitch aesthetics, and immersive black-room exhibition.
The video constructs its story through fragmented visuals and symbolic scenes—ruins, nature, and a lone sword. Brief flashes of text and symbols appear—not as exposition, but as abstract signals. Some may interpret this as a tale of collapse; others, as the rise of a digital utopia. The ambiguity invites reflection—emotion becomes the narrative engine.
Rather than delivering a message, Alphalon offers space for the viewer’s own interpretation—emotion becomes the interface.
Installation & Experience
Alphalon was presented in a self-built dark room (3.5m × 4m) using blackout curtains and floor cushions. By isolating light and sound, the space forces the viewer into focused solitude. No dialogue or interaction occurs—the system relies on emotional resonance to drive meaning, turning the audience into co-authors of meaning rather than passive viewers.
Music Composion
Inspired by Japanese rhythm games, the soundtrack blends orchestral, drum & bass, and artcore elements to reflect changing emotional states. Each section maps to a shift in visual tone. Multiple VSTs were used to design synth textures that evoke a surreal, post-human world.
